We do not avoid discussing religion and politics, but instead use that as the basis for our radio content and company culture.

About Houston's Family Owned Radio Station
KYST 920 AM has been owned and operated by the Velasquez Family since 1983.
Founded by Cruz Velasquez, KYST 920 AM started as Houston’s second Spanish radio station and operated under that language format for 40 years. In 2022 Cruz passed away, leaving his son Matt Velasquez with the company.
After much prayer and discernment, Matt decided to change the format back to English and create the most Pro-American radio station in Houston, TX. On January 1, 2024, Patriot Talk 920 AM officially launched with the mission of promoting the nuclear family, Judeo-Christian values, and patriotism for the greatest country in the world.
Patriot Talk 920 welcomes all our listeners to become part of our family as well, as ONE NATION UNDER GOD.
