Gun Owners of America (GOA) is a national grassroots organization dedicated to preserving and defending the Second Amendment rights of Americans. GOA has stood as a staunch advocate for gun rights, opposing all forms of gun control and fighting to ensure that the right to keep and bear arms remains unencumbered by government overreach.
- Universal Registration Check rule: GOA sued the ATF over its rule that requires background checks for private firearm sales. GOA won a preliminary injunction that prevents the ATF from enforcing this rule against its members.
- Pistol brace ban: GOA won an injunction against President Biden’s ban on pistol braces.
- Engaged in the Business rule: GOA won an injunction against President Biden’s rule that would make many private firearm sales illegal.
- Firearm purchase waiting period: GOA filed an appeal to the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals over the waiting period for firearm purchases by 18–20-year-olds.
- ATF’s Zero Tolerance policy: GOA filed two lawsuits challenging the ATF’s Zero Tolerance policy.
